Meet the Staff

Office Coordinator

Arretta has worked with Dr. Henson since 2006. As the Office Coordinator, she is the liaison between Dr. Henson, team members and patients to ensure a seamless flow of operations and relationships. Her chief responsibility is managing the business and financial side of the practice, but her passion is helping patients understand their insurance while maximizing their benefits. Arretta welcomes the challenge of assisting patients with claims and resolving any issues that may arise with care and concern.

In her own words: “ I have been a patient of Dr. Henson’s since 1989. When the opportunity to join his staff in 2006 presented, I was ecstatic. Being part of a team that changes people’s perception of themselves is exciting. I possess a quest for learning new things and using that knowledge to help people is very rewarding to me. I married my high school sweetheart. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with him making memories, flower gardening, and I absolutely love finding eclectic treasures at estate and garage sales.”

Scheduling Coordinator

Tracie has worked with Dr. Henson since 2007. As the scheduling coordinator, she has the daily responsibility of seeing that not only the patient’s scheduling needs are met, but also all team members. Without a tight and efficient schedule, a smoothly run day can quickly turn off track. She also maintains patient relations and great customer service by keeping all information, paperwork and charting up to date. Tracie is one of the friendly voices on the line when Dr. Henson’s patients call the office, and she ensures patients know their appointments are coming soon by giving them a courtesy call reminder.

In her own words:“I am married and have one son.  Before joining Dr. Henson’s staff I worked in retail for over 20 years.  I have learned a great deal about dentistry and about myself by working here.  It is a privilege to be a part of Dr. Henson’s team because of the excellent service we give to our patients.  The staff here is like family to me.”

Certified Dental Assistant and Lab Technician

Glennis has been Dr. Henson’s lead assistant since 1997. Not only does she work with Dr. Henson chairside, but she also assists with treatment planning and with the work up for his consult cases. A talented assistant, she anticipates Dr. Henson’s needs, knows what the patients will experience and carefully plans and prepares for their arrival so that they are ready for their procedure. Glennis also works in the lab. She is the steward of the practice whom patients love and recognize after many years of service.

In her own words: “ I am married with two children. Besides my family and friends, assisting is my life. I have the honor of helping change someone’s life for the better. Seeing a patient smile for the first time, or cry joyful tears after dental treatment is so fulfilling. In our office it not about a paycheck, we all truly think of our patients as family. Our motto is ‘Make everyday your masterpiece,’ and that is what we do.”

Registered Dental Hygienist

Elaine has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 41 years. She has worked with Dr. Henson since 1995. She regularly attends continuing education classes to stay current with the most advanced methods and practices in dentistry. It is her goal to provide the finest, individualized care for her patients. It is important to Elaine that patients not only understand the value of a clean, beautiful smile, but also the lifelong benefits of a healthy smile and mouth. Many families have received "Elaine's sparkling-clean smile" for years. They have truly experienced a one of a kind dental cleaning.

In her own words: “ My grandchildren have been an integral part of my life. Now that they are all grown I can pursue other interests. I am an avid gardener, love home town historical sights, and enjoy musical theatre. I really have many interests from intense to quirky! It is my job to help patients reach and maintain their optimal oral hygiene, overall health, and to educate them on how their oral health affects their systemic health. It is wonderful not only to have a ‘patient’ relationship, but also friendships with our patients. Our goal is to provide a professional, but relaxed atmosphere.”
